After two months, I have been allowed back to my office at PolyU. There are still several areas of campus that have not opened due to damage though. It seems that there was not much activity near my office.

PolyU released these two statements about the levels of toxicity
(spoiler, they are fine):
- https://www.polyu.edu.hk/web/en/media/media_releases/index_id_6723.html
Brief timeline of events:
- November 6th: last day I was in office
- November 7th: attended conference in Macau
- November 11th: protests on campus with campus later closing
- January 6th: staff and students being allowed back on campus
Yeah! Glad things are starting to get back to “normal”!

The reports sound good though some critics say it is too brief and lack of detailed evidence.
Be alert to the recent impact from Wuhan pneumonia in HK too.
Take good care.!
